The AGM was held at the Pembroke Inn in Tenbury Wells on the 16th April 2008. There was a good turn out from Tablers with only 2 missing. Guest’s included Andy Kenyan (Area 5 Chairman), Steve Glaister (Area 5 Vice Chairman) and several members of 41 Club.
Due to Fishy being late (!), we eventually sat down to eat at 8-00pm enjoying an excellent steak, however this made for very quick reports after the meal from all the officers. (The minutes from the AGM will I’m sure be produced in due course).
Handover also took place with Marcel handing over the Chairmanship to Stuart. The other officers were then dually elected. The meeting ended and we retired to the bar for a few more drinks!

A presentation on Tenbury Adventure Club was given by Adrian Taylor and Joe McClean (founder members of the club) to the Tenbury Round Table members at Tenbury High School. A slideshow and talk on how we could possibly help them secure the purchase of 6 mountain bikes and trailers.
Adrian Taylor (Head PE Teacher of Tenbury High School) gave a very interesting and passionate presentation on how the Adventure Club is helping to provide children of all ages the opportunity to do out of school activities to further develop a whole range of different skills that will be needed when they leave school.
After Adrian & Joe’s talk the Round Tablers’ went away to have a meeting and discuss what they had just heard. The discussion did not take long as all members present were in favour of providing the funds to purchase the 6 bikes and their individual trailers and for good measure 6 helmets were thrown in as well.
Adrian was given the good news by the secretary and we all look forward to the arrival of the equipment in the near future.
