Tenbury Wells is a small ancient market town situated in the very north west of Worcestershire on the A456, close to the borders of Herefordshire and Shropshire. It is separated from south Shropshire by the fast flowing River Teme, which begins its journey in mid Wales. Tenbury is 35 miles south west of England’s second major city, Birmingham, and 25 miles from the border between England and Wales. The town nestles peacefully in the beautiful Teme Valley that is under-explored. The area is still largely unspoilt farming country and perfect for walking in the delightful countryside of the Teme Valley. Tenbury had the ‘Wells’ added to its name in the mid 19th century to help promote the Mineral Water Wells that had been found in the town from 1840 onwards. The mineral waters brought about the building in 1862 of the now restored Tenbury Spa, or Pump Rooms as it is generally known. The town is a good base for discovering other areas of the Teme Valley and beyond. It is close to some excellent walks and has variety of interesting shops. Tenbury lies in an area known for growing hops and cider apples. “The Town in the Orchard”. Queen Victoria referred to Tenbury as ”my little town in the orchard” The affection could not have been more appropriate.

We have great fun and fellowship together - visit our gallery pages to see some pictures.

Cannock Chase Round Table - Website building in progress

Meet 2nd Thursday of every month at The Barns, Cock Sparrow Lane, Cannock, Staffordshire, WS12 4PB

Bewdley Round Table - www.bewdleyroundtable.org.uk

Who/What/How Much

We meet twice a month with the emphasis on a fun and varied social life. Our diary shows our full program of events and oh - we occasionally go down the pub as well.

Round table makes no distinction between colour, creed, political persuasion, wealth or social standing in fact - we don’t even mind what football team you support! (as long as it isn't Leeds). You just have to male and under 45 (and over 18).

You pay for the meetings that you attend- the costs of these depend on what they are, if a meal is involved then is will be around £10, if we are go karting then it could be £20. If it is a quiz then it could be free. These are charged at cost- so the more there are of us the better the discount we can get. The only other cost is around £70 per year to be a member- which pays for admin of Roundtable as whole. This is paid by monthly standing order - so £6 per month- Cheap compared to the price of a Gym.

Hello and welcome to the website of Round Table Area 5 (West Midlands).

Area 5 represents 17 individual Round Tables within the Midlands. Our Area boundaries are Penkridge in the North, Lichfield in the east, Tenbury in the South and Shrewsbury in the West. All Roundtables are on the lookout for new members so come along, have a go, join in, have some fun, meet some new people and learn some new skills.

We do not have funny handshakes, we avoid politics and religion, you don't have to be a middle aged businessman (under 45 and male are the rules), its not expensive (less than most Gym memberships- and far more entertaining although won't necessarily keep you fit)

If you are in doubt give it a go- what do you have to lose apart from at worst a wasted evening.

The most important thing is that you enjoy yourself! We all do!

Most Tables meet twice a month on a pre-designated night of the week. For details of the Table nearest to you please see below.

Round Table Area 5 - 17 Active Tables

At Dereham & District Round Table, we regard ourselves as a 'social club with a conscience'. We like to get together on a regular basis (fortnightly) and enjoy some good food, good beer, good entertainment and above all, good company. Beyond that, we get involved with other Tables from across our area (Area 6 - Founder's Area), nationally, and internationally, and we do a bit of community service and fundraising now and again. All in all, good crack and everyone's a winner!
