Not sure whether someone is trying to knock out the machinery man or Matt Smout pretending to be a loadall by growing a spade from his shoulder?

Group shot upon finishing.

As a former Tabler who can remember the very first event in 1979 and subsequently being involved to varying degrees with this annual event for past 28 years, I am proud to be able to report that the ‘2007 Bonfire event’, is the best ever, (So far). I heartily congratulate this year’s team under the expert leadership of Mike and Andrew Breakwell on a job well done!! Once again it was well planned and well executed with invaluable assistance of many wives & partners, 41 Club members, friends, colleagues, local businesses and organisations who, once more, donated their time and resources to this years extremely profitable event! After the devastating Flood's, the town and district suffered in the summer of this year, Tablers decided that the recipient for this years profit from the bonfire event would be "The Tenbury Flood Fund". This charity was set up to assist those who have and are suffering the consequences of those terrible few days. I am pleased to say that a cheque, for £3355.65 will be presented to "Flood Fund" imminently. With Tenbury tables increased membership strength the team decided this year that "The Raffle" would be reintroduced after an absence of many years at the bonfire event, as appropriate staffing could be allocated to the preparation and running the stall. Some excellent prizes were procured such as a Mountain Bike (from Teme Valley Cycles), meals out at local eateries (Whites @ The Clockhouse, Shamraj Balti House and The Rose & Crown), hampers donated by and a trip around the BBC Hereford and Worcester studios. Always remember guys, the time and hard work you put in result in the success of this and many other events. The job satisfaction and fun that comes with those results, by a few helping so many is one of the key reasons why you should feel privileged and honoured to be a member of Round Table and a basis for encouraging others to join you! Thank you for your continued hospitality and good company!!!!!!

Jim Colman's induction night
It is with great pleasure that I introduce you all to the two latest members to join the Round Table. I hereby give you Adam Jones proposed by Matt Smout & Jim Coleman proposed by Stuart Millichip. I believe that after several months of deliberation they both finally broke and agreed to join the 8 strong team to help raise funds for local charities along with supporting the local community. I do not think that I am out of place saying that it is a decision that (by their own admission) they do not think that they will regret. On behalf of all the other members of the table I welcome you both to the group and look forward to sharing some great evenings out with you both supping a few beers along the way....

In 2005 local budding footballer Kiah Roberts
was involved in a traffic accident, resulting in a serious break and
ligament damage to his leg and ankle. Kiah was a member of the Shrewsbury
Town Football Club youth academy and the accident effectively cut short his
ambition of one day becoming a professional footballer. .jpg)
Family members contacted tabler, Stuart Millichip, to see if Tenbury Round Table could help in anyway. It quickly became apparent to Stuart, that Kiah was a keen Manchester United fan, so without Kiah’s knowledge Stuart wrote to Manchester United in order to request their help. Without any hesitation Manchester United offered Kiah the opportunity to become a match day mascot and on the 14th April 2007, Kiah led his heroes out at Villa Park in the FA Cup semi final, hand in hand with the legend that is Ryan Giggs. To make Kiahs dream even better, United went on to win the match 4-1, reaching the first ever FA Cup final to be held at the New Wembley Stadium.
After the experience, Kiah’s Mother Lucy, wrote to Stuart to thank him for all of his efforts and making her son's dream come true. She explained that it took days for Kiah to come back down to earth and that he had not stopped talking about the whole day.
